Thirteen years later... may you still and forever Rest In Peace.

12.12.2007

Just recently - Tuesday, November 27th - Mudvayne released their fourth album "By the People, For the People." The  theme of the album is for fans to interact with the band and become more involved, hence the name of the album "By the People, For the People."

Fans of Mudvayne voted on songs to be put into the album (only two new songs were in this album, the rest were all demos and live tracks) and Mudvayne determined which version of the most voted songs would be put into the album.

With that aside, many, many pieces of fan artwork were put into the album including the CD sleeve, back/frontside and the CD itself.

One of the pieces embedded into the sleeve is a piece I painted many many years ago and submitted to Mudvaynes art forum known as "MudWurk".

In my opinion, the album isn't all that. I was hoping for all new material and it seems like the band (as many these days just to fulfill their contracted obligation) got lazy and compiled track demos and live tracks into a CD and released it as their forth following album.

Check out the album and take a look at the sleeve. The piece with the periodic table of elements is HARO's!

...bring a magnifying glass with you...these are thumbnails.

Good day,
H

A version of 'Sober' is up on the WhoIsHaro MySpace page.

I have finally completed and uploaded the WhoIsHaro? cover of TOOL's 'Sober'. This cover was influenced by some of my most recent darkest days that I experienced. For those of you who wonder where the vocals come from, you may remember back up vocals for NOVA, though I had never done any lead-type of vocals ever before.

Every track, every instrument, every late-night hour was performed by me - Haro.

I haven't posted this song to you all for your criticism (though it's always welcome), but to share with you what I have experienced. I hope that you all may listen to the song in its full extent and enjoy and take some positive influence from it.

Though this version of my cover 'Sober" is temporary, you may listen to what a rough idea would be like for the completed and well-mixed version that will come later this year (including new instrumentation with some hand-made instruments from India). Please don't mind the off-pitchness and peaks on your speakers...

Hint: Listen with headphones and discover a lot more.

Thanks for your time in lending your ears,
H

On a Personal Note...

Within the past week or so, I feel as though I  have been to hell and back. But in the same mindset, I have experienced an extraordinary amount of light. I would've never imagined that I would experienced so much within a week.  I have been absent for personal issues and reasons that I'll contain. But to say the least, I have realized that in order for change - that being within yourself, or society - you'll look so far outward like manys initial reactions would be, but to look within yourself. Look within your heart. Now I will state though, that there will be many changes in the near coming of which one is a recently mentioned project in the works that include not only my creations but that of my peers as well.

In the strong, positive and optimistic words of Paramahansa Yogananda:

"You must not let your life run in the ordinary way; do something that nobody else has done, something that will dazzle the world. Show that God's creative principle works in you."

I am lucky enough to experience visiting Yogananda (I will leave it at that, I don't want to exploit) and in reading his teachings, realized that nothing will ever happen the way you want it unless YOU endure.

On a final note: Change is within you. And in positivity, if the light you spread within this change is bright enough, people will see, people will notice, people will change.

This production will include some guest musicians. On a side note: The building progress of this production will be 100% documented and posted when completed.

In some other newbies, you can check out a new little Photo Album on the WhoIsHaro MySpace page. More photos of artwork, drumming and random photography will soon be added periodically in that album.
