Thank you all for the strong foundation of support! 04.26.2010 'Voice of Probity: 95 Years After The Armenian Genocide' Written, directed and edited by Haro Istamboulian. Filmed by Haro Istamboulian and Manuel Ashekian. 04.21.2010 The release date for Haro's next informative short titled Voice of Probity: 95 Years After The Armenian Genocide has been posted in the HaroFilm section. No one should miss yet another opportunity to speak aloud. Protest marches begin in Hollywood at 10am on Sat the 24th. A candle light vigil for the victims and passing survivors will be held at the Armenian Genocide Memorial in Montebello thereafter. Protests at the Turkish Consulate is set to take place at 6300 Wilshire Blvd from 4 to 6pm on that same day. Over 6,000 Armenians and non-Armenians alike are expected to attend both march and protest combined. 'Silence the Lies. Rock the Truth' will be held that night at the El Rey Theater as recognition for the 1915 Genocide. Haro will be all over Los Angeles filming throughout the entire day for said release. The short has finally been completed. The teams production company Legendary 2nd Shift has finally launched their site and Facebook Fan Page. Skazzbop is the debut works of L2S. Haro was involved in the making of this film and is also in some of the scenes. 'Skazzbop' has been submitted to film festivals around the globe, and for that reason cannot be viewed on the internet for the time being. Check CALENDAR section for details. 01.25.2010 In late February of 2009, Haro's longtime teacher of over ten years in Tao, Yoga and holistic medicine, Garo Vicken Malkhassian, held a seminar titled 'Mind Body Healing'. The seminar was a success in the Armenian community bringing awareness in supplying the body of strength and healing without the need of external pharmaceuticals. The seminar was filmed by Haro and is now (finally) available on DVD. The seminar was aimed more toward the Armenian community therefore is mostly spoken in Armenian, though Garo's diagrams and captions in the film are in English. Garo Vicken is a certified Reike Practitioner who's past focuses and practices include: Healing Chi Institute of Hollywood, American University of Complimentary Medicine in Mind/Body, Self Realization Fellowship Church, The Taoist Institute and qualifications in aromatherapy, chakra alignment, walking meditation and Pranayama (Chi Kung). Garo Malkhassian's reputation as a mind/body healer is growing rapidly in the Armenian community. In the beginning, he hopes to reach the large population of Armenians in Los Angeles before branching out all across the country. By 2010, he plans to go global and hope to reach more people in France, Greece, Canada and the Middle East. There will be more seminars given by Garo Vicken in the very near future.
